(VOVworld) - All tourist ships operating in Ha Long Bay will be moved to Tuan Chau international port as the Bai Chay tourist port will cease operation from January 1, 2016, according to the Transport Department of northern Quang Ninh province.

The province's transport department said 160 registered companies and individuals were operating more than 400 tourist ships at Tuan Chau Port. The transport department has to install a signpost system at the new port for tourists and local residents.
The department and local authorities are responsible for building new bus routes linking Quang Ninh province's centre with Tuan Chau port.
The transport ministry has permitted Tuan Chau Port to receive foreign ships that are up to 100m long and have a waterline of 5.5m in the south and southeast wharfs of Tuan Chau Island since last.
