Kubela noted that Ukraine is looking forward to China’s mediation efforts for a ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow. He added that although negotiations with Russia have not been smooth, Ukraine remains calm and is willing to move forward with the talks.

Wang told Kuleba that China supports all constructive international efforts that are conducive to a political settlement. He noted that priority should be given to alleviating the situation on the ground as much as possible to avoid any escalation of the conflict or loss of control, reduce the damage done to civilians, and ensure safe and timely humanitarian assistance.
