Last Wednesday the UN Human Rights Council unanimously approved the resolution themed transitional justice, which was introduced in 2008.

In addition, Vietnam comprehensively participated in discussion sessions on human rights, health, education, and extreme poverty, combating discrimination against women and girls, and the sessions to approve Universal Periodic Review reports of countries.

During the UN Human Rights Council’s session, the Vietnamese delegation actively participated and raised their voice at meetings and discussions on human rights, health rights, education rights, extreme poverty, anti-discrimination against women and girls, as well as at sessions approving UPR reports of countries.

The Vietnamese delegation actively exchanged and consulted with representatives of other countries, participated in developing documents, co-sponsored initiatives, and contributed to ensuring that the Council activities are consistent with basic principles of international law.

It also affirmed Vietnam's motto as a member of the UN Human Rights Council term 2023-2025: Dialogue and Cooperation, Respect and Understanding, and Guaranteeing Human Rights for All.
