(VOVWORLD) - The European Union became the largest importer of Vietnamese coffee in the first half of 2024, accounting for nearly 40% of the country’s export market, according to the General Department of Customs.
Vietnam shipped 353,000 tons of coffee to the EU, earning 1.2 billion USD, in the reviewed period.
Vietnam has surpassed India, Switzerland, and Brazil to become the second largest supplier of processed coffee to the EU.
Vietnam's export turnover of instant coffee and coffee extracts to the EU in the first five months of the year increased 86% over the same period last year.
