UN welcomes any dialogue between Russia, US
(VOVWORLD) - The UN welcomes any potential dialogue between Russia and the US, which would be an important step toward de-escalating tensions and fostering cooperation on global issues, said Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary General.

Following reports in US media of US President-elect Trump's plans to discuss the Ukraine issue with Russian President Putin, the Kremlin confirmed Putin's willingness to engage in talks without preconditions.
