(VOVworld) – The US has frozen all property and interests of the Mujahidin Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem and prohibited US citizens from engaging in transactions with the organisation.

The US Department of State and Department of Treasury issued announcements Tuesday in which they designated the group a “foreign terrorist organisation” and a “specially designated global terrorist entity”. The US State Department’s statement said the group has claimed responsibility for numerous rocket attacks on Israel since 2012 and has expressed its support for the Islamic State militia group.
