(VOVworld) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel held talks with US President Barack Obama on Sunday prior to a summit of the Group of seven (G7) industrialized nations in Bayern State, southern Germany. During talks, Mr. Obama called the relationship between the US and Germany one of the world’s strongest alliances.
He said at the G7 summit leaders will discuss the global economy, Ukraine’s crisis, fights against the Islamic State (IS), and climate change. German Chancellor Angela Merkel described the US as an essential partner who closely cooperates with Germany for mutual benefits.
