(VOVWORLD) - The US House of Representatives on Thursday approved a bill increasing sanctions against Iran for its long-range ballistic missile program.

House members Ed Royce and Eliot Engel sponsored the bill, which sanctions Iran’s State agencies and foreign companies and entities that support Iran’s ballistic missile program. The bill is designed to avoid derailing the 2015 nuclear deal signed between Iran and world powers. Earlier, US President Donald Trump has said he doesn’t accept the nuclear deal.
