(VOVWORLD) -Two US Air Force B-52H Stratofortress bombers landed at Romania’s Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base on Monday, the first time US strategic bombers have supported Bomber Task Force Deployment alongside NATO along the eastern flank.
General James B. Hecker, commander of US Air Forces in Europe, Air Forces in Africa, and NATO Allied Air Command, reaffirmed Washington's commitment to working with NATO partners on the eastern flank.
He stressed the importance of building capacity and coordination to ensure safety, security, and stability in the region.
