The suspect who carried out the attack was killed. FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek said that one attendee was killed and two others are in critical condition. All three victims are men. Authorities are identifying the gunman through DNA and biometric testing. The suspected attacker is a 20-year-old from Pennsylvania.

No threats have been detected following the shooting. But US law enforcement has implemented measures to respond to a number of suspicious activities. Bomb disposal units have been deployed around the shooting scene.

Donald Trump was whisked off the stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, after apparent gunshots rang through the crowd. Trump could be seen reaching with his right hand toward his neck. Trump had blood on his ear and pumped his fist as he left the stage. He appeared conscious the entire time.
