(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump urged his cabinet to avoid conflicts and boost cooperation with Russia despite differences on the Middle East and Ukraine, US National Security advisor H.R. McMaster said on Thursday.

He said the US and Russia can cooperate on a number of issues, including North Korea’s nuclear ambition. McMaster said Russia can use its influence to pressure North Korea to change its course, calling this a last chance to “avoid catastrophic consequences”.
