The amount far exceeds initial forecasts and reflects the stable growth and enhanced competitiveness of Vietnamese vegetables and fruits in the world market. Vietnam maintains its position among the top 25 countries with the largest import and export turnover in the world.
The Association predicts that fruit and vegetable exports this year could reach 10 billion USD. To realize this goal, the Association suggests a focus on improving product quality and safety; refining a traceability system capable of international connectivity; boosting trade activities and image of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables; and applying new technologies in post-harvest processing, preservation, and extending the shelf life and consumption of products.
