(VOVworld) - On Wednesday, Venezuela, the host of the 2016 Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), took over from Iran as the rotating President of the group until 2019.

This is the first time Venezuela became NAM rotating president and the third time a Latin American country took the position after Cuba and Colobia, in 55 years of the organization’s history (Source: el-nacional.com)

The official hand-over ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sep, 17th.  Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez pledged to push for the construction of a new world order-based not only on economic, and society, but also information.
