(VOVworld) - Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of Vietnam Fatherland Front, has praised the role of the Vietnam Committee for Catholic Solidarity in upholding the unity spirit among Catholic dignities and followers.
At a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday, Mr. Nhan reiterated that the Vietnamese Party, government, and the Front will accompany and take care of both the spiritual and material lives of Catholic followers, respect people’s religious freedom, and implement grassroots democracy.
President Nhan said he hopes that Catholic followers will always be united in all fields, help in the fight against hostile forces’ plots to cause divisions and contribute to national defense and development.
