Vietnam and Russia agree to increase bilateral trade

VN has always treasured the traditional relationship with Russia . VNese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai told the Vietnam – Russia Intergovernmental Committee on economic, trade and scientific cooperation meeting in Hanoi on Monday, November 21st, 2011. “Following the 14th meeting of the Vietnam – Russia Intergovernmental Committee, the two countries’ traditional friendly relations and strategic partnership have been fostered and promoted, especially in trade and investment cooperation. We also acknowledged cooperative outcomes in defense and security, education, healthcare, and science”, he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and his Russian counterpart Igor Shuvalov agreed to accelerate cooperation in new sectors such as real estate, nuclear electricity and telecommunication. The two sides also confirmed the need to enhance two-way trade, focusing on the establishment of the Vietnam – Russia Free Trade Area.
