(VOV/VOVworld) – The Vietnam Association of Stage Artists has celebrated its 55th anniversary and opened an exhibition featuring the association’s history. The celebration in Hanoi on Thursday, attended by President Truong Tan Sang and other Party and State leaders, also marked the 30th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Stage Association.

People’s Artist Le Tien Tho, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, said that stage artists have always fulfilled the duties assigned by the Party, State, and people. The association has adopted numerous resolutions in its 7 congresses to direct Vietnamese stage art’s development with well-trained artists. People’s Artist Le Tien Tho: "All stage artists commit their efforts and creativity to producing high-quality work, serving the public interest, and making Vietnamese stage art flouris".
The exhibition showcases the establishment at Viet Bac of an art troupe, which was the association’s predecessor, the association’s 7 congresses, and stage art in the renewal period.
