Both sides agree to increase consultation and policy exchanges, organize the 3rd meeting of the Vietnam-Bangladesh Joint-Committee on Economics, Trade, Culture, Science, and Technology, and the 1st diplomatic consultation between their Foreign Ministries to review and establish directions for future cooperation. They are committed to bringing two-way trade revenue to 1 billion USD by 2016.

Both countries acknowledge their cooperation at regional and global forums, particularly the UN, Non-aligned movement, south-south cooperation, and ASEAN Regional Forum.

Vietnam values Bangladesh’s support for its nomination to the UN Security Council’s 2014-2016 term and the Economic and Social Council’s 2016-2018 term. Vietnam hopes Bangladesh will back its nomination as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council’s 2020-2021 term.
