Vietnam is calling on the international community to help Palestine gain independence, said Ambassador Giang adding that Vietnam’s stance that the Palestinian issue must be addressed on the basis of international law and relevant UN resolutions, ensuring the legitimate interests of all parties, including the right of Palestinians to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, peacefully coexisting alongside the State of Israel, with internationally recognized and secure borders.
