Vietnam celebrates 75 years of People’s Army
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam will persist in resolving all disputes and differences by peaceful means on the basis of international law but will take all necessary measures to safeguard its independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests.

Defense Minister Ngo Xuan Lich made the statement at a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday to mark 75 years of the Vietnam People’s Army.
“The Vietnam People’s Army’s achievements over the past 75 years are attributed to the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh and the support of the people and international friends. Vietnamese soldiers stand ready to sacrifice for national independence and freedom and people’s happiness,” said Minister Lich.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the first-class Military Exploit Order to the Vietnam People’s Army.
“One of the crucial missions is to prevent war and sustain peace and stability for national development. The Party and State have always attached great importance to consolidating national defense and people’s armed forces to protect our Motherland,” said PM Phuc.
