The event is part of activities to mark the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations and the Year of China-Vietnam Humanistic Exchange.
Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, said, "Through the friendship meeting, Chinese youth will gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam, its people, and culture, an enduring peace-loving nation that has always stood in solidarity with the Chinese people in the pursuit of socialism."
Youth training programs, cultural exchanges, and cooperation forums have provided thousands of young people with opportunities to learn about each other’s cultures, traditions, and customs, Huy said, adding that these initiatives have paved the way for collaboration in study, research, careers, production, and business.
This year’s meeting coincides with General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping’s state visit to Vietnam.
A Dong, First Secretary of the Communist Youth League of China’s Central Committee, said that this year’s meeting demonstrates the determination to unite the youth of both nations, empowering young people to take the lead in advancing the China-Vietnam friendship in the new era.
As part of the program, a youth forum was held under the theme “Vietnam–China Youth: Steadfast in Ideals”.
