Vietnam donates food, medical supplies to South Africa’s area hit by COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Embassy in South Africa on Tuesday donated medical supplies and food to Mbizana - a town in one of South Africa’s hardest-hit areas by the COVID-19 epidemic.

Ambassador Hoang Van Loi said he hopes South Africa and Mbizana will soon overcome this difficult period.

Mbizana’s mayor Daniswa Mafumbatha thanked Vietnam for its support and praised Vietnam as a model in containing the virus, which she said many countries could learn from. She also expressed her hope that Vietnam will share its experience in the fight against COVID-19 with South Africa.
