Frozen shrimp is one of Vietnam’s seafood products to have made a firm foothold in the Egyptian market.
(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat on Friday led a delegation to attend the Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm El Sheikh.

According to Minister Cao Duc Phat, the conference is a good opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to look for cooperation and partnership toward reaching a two-way export revenue of 500 million USD set for this year.

Last year, Vietnam and Egypt fetched 370 million USD of trade turnover, up 85% compared to the previous year.

Attracting the participation of global leading groups, the Egypt Economic Development Conference is of great economic importance for Egypt which plans to introduce about 30 major projects at the conference and call for 20-billion-USD investment in a number of areas. They include oil and gas, petrochemicals, electricity, renewal energy, transportation and logistics, tourism, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure construction, and IT.
