Vietnam football’s former coach elected Portuguese Coaches Association president
(VOVWORLD) -Former head coach of the Vietnamese men's football team, Henrique Calisto, was elected President of the Portuguese National Coaches Association (ANTF) with over 90% of votes on Saturday.

On the inauguration day, Calisto, aged 71, expressed his desire to help Portuguese coaches of men's, women's and futsal football to improve their quality and reap more successes.
President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan sent a congratulatory letter to the former coach on his new job.
Calisto led the Vietnamese football team from 2002 to 2011 and helped the Golden Star Warriors win the Southeast Asian Championship - AFF Cup 2008.
He led U23 Vietnam team to win the silver medal at the 2009 Southeast Asian Games and the third place at the 2010 AFF Cup.
The Portuguese twice served as head coach of Dong Tam Long An club, who won V.League championship in 2005 and 2006.
