Vietnam grateful to Russian embalmers of late President Ho Chi Minh

(VOVworld) – Russian scientists and medical experts involved in preserving the embalmed body of the late President Ho Chi Minh gathered at the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia on Monday.

Major General Pham Van Lap is the Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Safeguarding High Command:“We are preparing for the 45th celebration since President Ho Chi Minh passed away. On this occasion, we want to pay tribute to Russian scientists who assisted Vietnam in preserving the body of President Ho Chi Minh during fierce war time. Coming from a far-away country, Russian scientists overcame numerous difficulties to assist Vietnam to preserve the remains of the President”.

Major General Lap and Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son presented Russian scientists and medical specialists with the Order of Ho Chi Minh for their dedicated support and endeavours. Over the past 45 years, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board received over 50 million visitors including 7 million foreigners.
