Vietnam, India promote tourism

(VOVWORLD) - A forum promoting Vietnam’s tourism in India was held in New Delhi on Wednesday by the Vietnamese Embassy in India, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism of Vietnam and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (PHDCCI).

Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai told the forum that the event aims to popularize Vietnam as a new destination and facilitate B2B matching to better serve Indian tourists in the near future. 

In November, Vietnam welcomed 27,000 visitors from India, up 31% month-on-month and 50% year-on-year. In the 11 months of this year, the total number of Indian visitors to Vietnam reached 109,000, ranking 5th out of the top 10 markets of Vietnam.
