The tourism sector estimates that foreign tourists may number 13 million in the whole year, higher than the set target of 11.5 million. From January to June, the industry served 40.7 million domestic travellers, earning 11 billion USD in revenue, a 27 percent yearly surge. In the reviewed period, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism held many promotion events including the opening of Vietnam’s booth at the Korean World Travel Fair (KOTFA) 2017 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. The administration has chosen 2017 as Travel Year, aiming to enhance service quality of travel agencies and government’s management over travel operations.
