Vietnam, Netherlands enhance peacekeeping cooperation

(VOVworld) – The defense ministries of Vietnam and the Netherlands agreed to boost cooperation in United Nations peacekeeping missions and personnel exchanges. Vietnam’s Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh made the remark on Tuesday in Hanoi following talks with a delegation from the Netherlands’ Ministry of Defense, led by Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Nienke Trooster.

Informing about the results of a working session with Vietnam’s Peace Keeping Centre, Trooster said the two sides agreed to boost exchanges of experts, experience sharing, and training support in peacekeeping. She expressed her hope for Vietnam and the Netherlands to enhance bilateral ties, including cooperation in UN peacekeeping activities.
