Vietnam prepares for a carbon market
(VOVworld) - The Prime Minister has approved a World Bank-funded technical assistance project on building a carbon market in Viet Nam.
The project aims to strengthen capacity on building, implementing, and disseminating policy and management tools to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA).
It also helps build roadmaps for Vietnam’s carbon market to participate in the global carbon market. The 3.6 million USD project will build a database on greenhouse gas emission, carbon credits, and a roadmap to carbon market for solid waste.
