Vietnam ready to further promote cooperation between Interpol, regional countries

(VOVWORLD) - Head of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang has met with Floriane Bacconnier, Head of the Interpol Permanent Observer Office at the UN.

Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang said that since joining Interpol in 1991, Vietnam has actively fulfilled its responsibilities as an active,  responsible member. He expressed hope that Vietnam and Interpol would continue strengthening collaboration to enhance transnational crime prevention and law enforcement effectiveness.

As Chair of the Asia-Pacific Group of international organizations in Vienna, Vietnam stands ready to act as a bridge to further promote cooperation between Interpol and regional countries, contributing to peace, stability, security, and sustainable development.

Floriane Bacconnier affirmed Interpol’s commitment to deepening collaboration with Vietnam and supporting new initiatives to strengthen law enforcement efforts in the Asia-Pacific region. She also expressed hope that Vietnam would successfully organize the signing ceremony for the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime this year.
