(VOVWORLD) - Outstanding athletes, coaches, and national sports teams were honored for their exceptional achievements in 2024 at the Vietnam Sports Glory Program in Hanoi on Saturday.

The program was co-organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Olympic Committee, and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee, the Hanoi People's Committee on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day.
On this occasion powerlifter Le Van Cong and powerlifting coach Le Quang Thai were conferred with the Labor Order, third class.
This year’s awards also included those for Most Popular Athlete on TikTok, Most Popular Sports Team on TikTok, and Most Popular Football Player on TikTok.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Sports Administration launched a campaign to promote the upcoming 33rd SEA Games and 13th ASEAN Para Games to take place in Thailand in December.
