(VOVWORLD) - Four Vietnamese women clinched a gold medal at the ISTAF Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025 after a thrilling victory over Thailand on Friday evening in India.

The final game was intense, with both teams battling for every point. Vietnam claimed the first set 15-12, but Thailand quickly equalized with a 15-12 win in the second set.
In the decisive set, Vietnam capitalized on key opportunities to edge out Thailand 15-13, securing the gold medal, their first-ever victory at the Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025.
In the men's quadrant final, Vietnam lost 0-2 to Thailand and settled for the silver medal.
The 2025 Sepak Takraw World Cup took place from Thursday to next Tuesday in Hyderabad, India.
