Vietnam records 2,169 recoveries from COVID-19 on Friday

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said on Friday that the number of COVID-19 patients recovering during the day was 2,169, bringing the total number of recoveries to 816,132.

On Friday, Vietnam recorded 4,899 new infections, of which 10 were imported and 4,889 were locally-transmitted.

The average number of new infections recorded in the past seven days is 4,110 cases per day.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam’s caseload has reached 910,376, ranking 40 out of 223 countries and territories. In terms of the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranked 152 out of 223 countries and territories (on average, there are 9,243 infections for every 1 million people).
