Vietnam is having great exchanges of trade and tourism with Thailand, the Republic of Korea, and Middle East countries. Though to date Vietnam has reported no cases of MERS-CoV, people are advised to strictly follow the Health Ministry’s recommendations in the prevention and control of the disease.

People are recommended not to travel to affected countries, and restrict meeting with those who are suffering from respiratory and MERS suspects.

Those who migrate from MERS-stricken nations should actively fill in medical declaration and keep a close watch on their health conditions for 14 consecutive days.

If any signs including having high fever, cough, or breathing trouble, they should inform medical facilities immediately to have timely professional advice or call the Health Ministry’s hotline at 0963851919.
