Vietnam reports no new COVID-19 cases in 4 straight days

(VOVWORLD) - For four consecutive days Vietnam has recorded no new infections of the novel coronavirus, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday evening.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Vietnam remains at 268. On Monday alone, Vietnam discharged eight patients in the northern province of Ninh Binh, two in HCMC, two in the central province of Ha Tinh, taking the total number of recovered cases to 214.

The remaining patients are being treated at nine medical facilities across the country. Most of the cases have stable health. Of the 54 active cases, 14 have tested negative once and seven negative twice.

Vietnam is one of three countries in the world that have more than 200 COVID-19 cases but no deaths.
