113 individuals and organizations were awarded in Hanoi on Friday for their significant contributions to the blood donation movement. The capital city collected over 322,000 units of blood last year and nearly 110,000 units in the first half of 2025, continuing to lead the country in this drive year after year.

Blood donors in Quảng Ninh province were also commended at a ceremony to launch the Red Journey Program on Friday. On this occasion, nearly 1,000 people  participated in the voluntary blood campaign.

"Quang Ninh has accompanied the Red Journey Program for 10 years. This initiative has gone beyond a typical blood donation campaign to become a grassroots movement marked by high self-awareness, with the quantity and quality of blood donations consistently improving. Recognizing and rewarding exemplary donors is a profoundly meaningful, humanitarian act," said Mr. Vu Hong Hai, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Red Cross Society.
