Vietnam targets 62 billion USD from agro-forestry-fisheries exports by 2030

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam hopes to earn 60-62 billion USD from agro-forestry-fishery exports by 2030 under a project recently approved by the Prime Minister, which will connect Vietnam to global agro-forestry-fishery supply chains, improve the quality and value of Vietnam’s exports, and promote Vietnamese trademarks in foreign markets.

25 billion USD of the target will be from farm produce, 16-17 billion from forestry products, 15 billion from aquatic products, 3-4 billion from animal husbandry products, and 2 billion from other products.

Agro-forestry-fishery exports are expected to grow 6-8% annually. The project will adjust mechanisms and policies to ensure food safety, develop the support industry, help firms protect their intellectual property rights in foreign markets, and promote Vietnamese trademarks in the media.
