In his address, Municipal Party Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan said: “Ho Chi Minh City authorities and people believe that with their innovation spirit, dynamism, and wholeheartedness, local teachers and educators will further contribute to the education sector and provide to the market high quality human resources that will serve the city’s industrialization, modernization, and development.”

A program to honor teachers was held in Hanoi on Friday. Speaking at the event, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha said: “I admire teachers in remote areas who overcome numerous difficulties to teach local children. I praise teachers and educators for their tireless efforts and innovation to reform their teaching methodology and management. These are the main factors in promoting fundamental, comprehensive educational reform in response to the Party resolution on bringing Vietnam’s education closer to other countries in the world. I hope that each teacher and educator will continue to promote innovation because they are the decisive factors to Vietnam’s educational reform.”

Activities to celebrate Vietnam Teachers’ Day are taking place nationwide.
