Participants will compete in 10 categories, including memorizing numbers, vocabularies, faces, names, historic events, and cards. Head organizer Nguyen Phung Phong said on Wednesday at the launch of the competition: “Each country holds its own competition and chooses its best to compete in the World Championship. Vietnamese people are studious and our IQs are high. I believe that using the right study methods, Vietnamese children can win top prizes and make us proud.”

Vietnam will be the 39th country to hold a national memory championship. The winner will receive 13,000 USD. The 12 top contestants will attend the World Memory Championship in December in China.
