(VOVworld) – Vietnam will hold the next Asian Beach Games in 2016.

Vietnam was handed the host’s flag at the closing ceremony in Phuket, Thailand, on Sunday. The games will take place in the central cities of Da Nang and Nha Trang from September 24 to October 3, 2016, with the participation of 4,000 athletes and coaches from 45 countries. At this year’s competition, Vietnam finished 5th in the medal tally with 8 gold, 12 silver, and 20 bronze medals.
