Vietnam values friendship, cooperation with Pakistan, PM says

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam values the friendship and cooperation with Pakistan, and wishes to deepen the two countries' relationship and make it more substantive, especially in trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister met with his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

PM Chinh proposed that the two sides boost the organization of business, investment, and tourism forums to enhance increase understanding and have more information about each other to create a basis for further relations.

For his part, Prime Minister Sharif said the two sides need to set an ambitious goal of raising Vietnam-Pakistan trade turnover to 10 billion USD and expressed his wish to soon welcome Prime Minister Chinh to Pakistan.

The two leaders agreed to further promote the exchange of delegations, especially high-level delegations and cooperation in digital transformation, green transformation, and circular economy. They also discussed measures to strengthen cooperation at international and multilateral forums.
