Economics, trade, and investment continued to be highlights of the Sino-Vietnamese bilateral relations with the two way trade turnover reaching more than 117 billion USD, recording a growth of 10.3% from last year. Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai made the remarks on Friday while hosting a meeting with the Chinese media ahead of New Year 2021. Reporters from 30 Chinese media agencies and Vietnamese media bureaus in China attended the event.

Ambassador Mai emphasized that 2021 is of great significance to both Vietnam and China. Vietnam will organize the 13th National Party Congress and implement the Congress’ resolutions while China will mark its Party’s 100th founding anniversary and implement its 14th 5-year socio-economic development plan.

The Ambassador asked media agencies and reporters of both countries to objectively cover news about both countries and their policies to enhance mutual understanding and contribute to the healthy and stable development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
