The 4-day camp offers an opportunity for Vietnamese youth to meet and share their experiences living, studying, and working in a European country. It will help Vietnamese young people integrate into their host country while maintaining their own traditional culture.

Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh, head of the organizing board, said this is the first time the Vietnamese Youths and Students Association in Czech has organized such an important event.

She said preparations have been completed to welcome delegates, adding: “We have prepared many activities for young overseas Vietnamese most of whom are second generation Vietnamese in Europe with little knowledge of the Vietnamese language and culture. We want the camp to be a forum for Vietnamese young people and students in Europe to share their experience of life and improve their solidarity.”

By Tuesday more than 300 Vietnamese young people and students from 13 European countries had registered for this year’s camp.
