Vietnam-Indonesia investment, tourism and trade forum
(VOVworld) – 250 enterprises gathered in Ho Chi Minh city on Thursday for the 2nd Vietnam-Indonesia investment, tourism and trade forum.

The forum focused on prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries and efforts to implement the Vietnam-Indonesia joint action program with the aim of bringing bilateral trade revenue to 5 billion USD by 2015. The Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Mayerfas said: "The forum is one of initiatives to bring Indonesia and Vietnam’s private sectors closer to each other and learn of each other’s potentials as well as to promote the mutual understanding and exchange contacts among private sectors".
By May this year, Indonesia ranked 27 th among 101 countries and territories investing in Vietnam, with 35 valid projects worth a total registered capital of over 285 million USD. Indonesia is currently Vietnam’s fourth biggest partner in the Southeast Asia with two-way trade jumping to 4.6 billion USD in 2012, up from 2.5 billion USD in 2008.
