Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong was interviewed by a Voice of Vietnam reporter on the occasion of President Phuc’s 3-day visit from Wednesday at the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
Thong said that next year the two countries will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership and have set ambitious goals for further cooperation, including a two-way trade turnover of 15 billion USD by 2028.
“The visit will further the established strategic partnership between the two countries and demonstrate the important strategic role in our relationship. During the trip, Vietnam and Indonesia will sign a number of important documents to deepen ties. Going forward, the two countries will continue stronger determination to deepen this strategic partnership with more contacts between leaders,” said Ambassador Thong.
