India hosts first Sherpa meeting as G20 President

(VOVWORLD) -India hosted its first Senior Officials Meeting (Sherpa) as the G20 President in Rajasthan’s city of Udaipur on Sunday.

At the 4-day meeting, the delegates are discussing technological transformation, green development and India's Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) project, development led by women, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and inclusive growth.

The Sherpa meeting aims to establish consensus on key issues included in the Leaders' Declaration scheduled to be delivered at the G20 Summit in New Delhi in 2023.

India officially assumed the G20 Presidency from Indonesia on December 1 and will hold more than 200 meetings on 32 various fields in more than 50 Indian cities.
