Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security bolsters cooperation with FBI

The visit aimed to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and  the FBI.

Deputy Minister To proposed that the two sides continue to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in preventing transnational crime. Both pushed the early signing of the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, the Extradition Agreement, and the Agreement on Transfer of People Sentenced to Prison.

The Ministry of Public Security and the FBI increase delegation exchanges at all levels to share information on issues of mutual concern. The FBI considers, supports and funds Vietnam with modern equipment, technology transfer, and specialized solutions to effectively serve the fight against crimes, he said.

The Deputy Minister said he hopes that the FBI will continue to play the role of an active partner of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in coordinating to maintain security and safety for the benefit of the two countries' people, contributing to deepening bilateral relations.
