Lotus, developed by VCCorp Communication Technology Company, is working with over 500 content creators in 20 different fields including education, business, photography, story writing, blog and vlog writing, lifestyle, entertainment, music, and marketing. It also makes good use of more than 30 sources of formal news. It goes in a different direction with content as its focus, creating an effective platform to help content creators create better content for users. Users can show “interest” or “follow” their favorite content creators.
At the launch ceremony, Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Manh Hung said he believes VCCorp will inspire Vietnamese businesses to develop technological products that will help reach the goal of expanding made-in-Vietnam social networks globally by 2020.
"The success of Lotus will be determined by us, the Vietnamese users. It’s a collaboration of technology workers who aspire to establish a new social network with a new approach and new technology and Vietnamese investors who want to strengthen Vietnam under the Government's ‘Make in Vietnam’ program," said Minister Hung.
After the launch ceremony, a beta version of Lotus will run for three to six months to fix bugs, sign up users, and receive feedback on what features or content to add. Users can download the app via http://bit.ly/2m6uJ36 available on both iOs and Android platforms.
