Vinh Long Court’s ruling on divorce case involving Cheoh Moon Yew, Ly Sieu Dung

(VOVWORLD) - The Vinh Long provincial People’s Court would like to inform Mr. Cheoh Moon Yew  on the divorce case with Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung.

Mr. Cheoh Moon Yew was born in 1973. His address is 6275 Taman PD Jaya, Lukut, 71010 Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

In the Decree of Divorce No. 38/2025/HNGĐ-ST dated May 16, 2025, the court’s judgments were stated as followed:

Pursuant to Articles 28, 37, 140, 147, 153, 469, and 477 of the Civil Procedure Code; Articles 9, 14, 81, 82,83 and 127 of the Law on Family and Marriage; and Article 27 of Resolution 326/2016/UBTVQH 14 dated December 30, 2016 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Court decision was stated as follow:

Marital relationship: It is ordered and decreed by the Court that Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung and Mr. Cheoh Moon Yew are divorced and that the marriage between them is dissolved. 

Children: Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung shall continue to foster their children, Cheoh Jia Ho (born on June 1, 2015) and Cheoh Jia Heng (born on September 24, 2019). Mr. Cheoh Moon Yew has the right to visit their child after the divorce.

Shared assets and debts: There was no request for settlement.

Court fee: Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung has to pay 300,000 VND, which was already taken from a deposit court fee as described in Receipt No. 0015038 dated 17/06/2024, issued by the Vinh Long Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement. Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung has already paid.

Judicial entrustment fee: Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung has to pay 200,000 VND, which was already taken from a deposit court fee as described in Receipt No. 015048 dated 26/06/2024, issued by the Vinh Long Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement. Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung has already paid.

Mrs. Ly Sieu Dung has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 15 days after the decree is announced. The duration for Mr. Cheoh Moon Yew to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling is 12 months after the decree is announced.
