4-billion USD Can Gio-Vung Tau sea crossing bridge expected to begin construction in Q1/2027.
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup has proposed Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee to appraise its pre-feasibility study for the Can Gio-Vung Tau sea-crossing bridge project worth more than 4 billion USD.

The 14km bridge is expected to begin construction in the first quarter of 2027. Once completed, it will reduce travel time between Can Gio and Vung Tau to just 15-20 minutes, drive economic growth in the Southeastern region, strengthen logistics in the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster, and facilitate trade in the region.
