Speaking at an annual review of the fund’s activities on Wednesday, Senior Lieutenant General To, who is Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Fund, asked the People's Navy, Border Guard, and Coast Guard to continue to support fishermen and disseminate information about Vietnam's seas and islands through effective programs and models.

Mr. To stressed the need to mobilize for more contributions to the fund, organize more trips to the Truong Sa special zone, DK1 platforms, and nearshore islands while strengthening communication on the Prime Minister's directives on measures to get the European Commission (EC)'s "yellow card" on illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing removed.
